MySpace Layouts MySpace Codes MySpace BackgroundsGrammy nominated Reggie Calloway has worked in the music industry as Songwriter/Producer/Artist since the early 1980’s. Reggie founded the evolutionary Techno-Funk band, Midnight Star. They created timeless party songs such as the #1 hit, “Operator” and party anthems like “Freak-A-Zoid” and “No Parking on the Dance Floor” on the Solar Label. The band was also awarded three gold albums, one platinum and one double platinum album. During this time, he and his brother, Vincent, also wrote and produced for other popular artists such as Klymaxx with their signature song, “Meeting in the Ladies Room” and several tracks for the Whisper’s album, Feels So Good. After leaving Midnight Star in 1986, they wrote and produced other Grammy Nominated hits including Gladys Knight’s winning hit, “Love Overboard”, Teddy Pendergrass’ “Joy”, Natalie Cole's “Jump Start My Heart”, and LeVert’s hit “Casanova”, which also earned Reggie a Grammy nomination for “R&B Song of the Year” and recognition from BMI (Broadcast Music Inc.) for the song being played over one million broadcast performances. In 1990, Reggie hit the stage again when he reunited with his brother, Vincent, to form the duo Calloway. The song “I Wanna Be Rich” earned the Calloway’s once again the recognition from BMI for being played over one million broadcast performances. His most recent addition to his endless list of original songs includes the track “I’ll Be Good For You”, performed by Pop sensation N’SYNC for their eleven times Platinum album, No Strings Attached (2001) and “It’s So Easy”(2003) performed by Atlantic Artist, Sugar Ray. It is with great pleasure that we present Reggie’s debut solo album, “Walking Between Raindrops”. Before only available in the UK, this collection is filled with smooth, seductive Rhythm and Blues and Pop melodies. Calloway Records is happy and proud to make it available for you.
