Influences: LIFE influences me. I love all styles of music and use a variety of them in all of my work. I don't believe that we can or should be limited to one thing. As people, we are made up of many things; ideas and lifestyles, and those experiences and adventures make us who we are.
CHANGE is the only true constant in life. Instead of fighting it, we should always look for the advantages to it and use them to our benefit.
DIFFERENCES make life unique. We should celebrate our differences and experience them. I believe that GOD has created many roads for us to follow and that we were given choices to follow those roads which allow us to find HIM in our own ways. We have so many different religions, yet each of those religions have many of the same basic principles. I don't think GOD cares HOW we believe, just THAT we believe.
So, what did I listen to growing up? This is a short list and it is varied. Elton John, Ratt, Ozzy, Black Sabbath, Duran Duran, Heart, Jethro Tull, Emerson Lake and Powell/Palmer, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, John Denver, Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, George Michael, Madonna, AC/DC, Peter Gabriel, Van Halen, Berlin, The Pet Shop Boys, U2, Michael Jackson...yes, I grew up in the 80s. I also listened to a lot of music from musicals like Camelot, Carousel, Finnean's Rainbow, etc. etc. I have classical albums, hip-hop, R&B, new age, country, soundtracks, and more. If I like it, I'll buy it. My favorite music is that done by indie artists as most of that is NOT mainstream and unique. I learn A LOT from those artists. They have limited budgets and outlets and make the most of what is available. There is some incredible music out there if you look. :)
Sounds Like: Moby, Yanni, Enya, Jethro Tull, Tangerine Dream, George Benson, Kenny G, Michael Lington, John Tesch, Suzanne Cianni, Jim Brickman, and others I've been told.
