Tim Carroll, a Nashville native, literally grew up immersed in the music business. His father was a member of the CMA Award-winning instrumental group Danny Davis and the Nashville Brass whose trumpet playing is featured on many hit records including the Hank Williams, Jr. hit “If the South Woulda Won”. His mother owns and operates the most renowned dance studio in Nashville attended by children of many well known musical artists. Not only was he constantly surrounded by entertainers and music business executives through his parents’ social and professional circles, he attended grade school and high school with other future stars including Ashley Judd, Hank Williams III, and Aaron Benward, now half of the country group Blue County. Music was the only way of life Tim knew throughout his formative years, and he sang constantly at various shows and functions in the community.
After high school, Tim began to get serious about his career in music. He enrolled at Middle Tennessee State University as a Recording Industry Management major with a Vocal Performance emphasis. After school, his passion for performing music began to eclipse his desire for a career in the business of music.
Tim’s path led him all over the country as he became known as a singer and actor. He ultimately found himself in New York City, where his skills as a stage performer coupled with his innate sense of country music landed him roles in shows that featured rock and country song including Smoky Joe’s Café, Grease, and Civil War. He spent seven years performing on and off Broadway, but his desire for a career in country music drew him back to Nashville.
Since his return, Tim has been performing regularly in Nashville venues, developing his career as a country artist. His reputation and legacy have also kept him in high demand from Music Row’s record companies as a top voice and performance coach. He has worked with many up-and-coming country stars, helping them hone their concert performances and preparing them for their studio vocals as well.
Tim’s collective experiences have prepared him for his own moment in the spotlight, and it won’t be long before he steps out from behind the scenes and takes his place as an artist on the country charts.
