Some would say I'm the girl next door and some would say I'm the devil in disguise. I personally think I'm a bit of both depending on the day or late night. I was born and raised Philly style but was living in NYC for the past 8 years. After the cement jungle had its way with me again and again, I sold everything I owned and took off for the adventure of a lifetime. For 4 months, my backpack was the closest thing to home I had in my possession. I traveled 20 hours on a plane to "find myself." What I found is that I took things way too seriously. I met the most wonderful people of my life across the world and felt an appreciation for the people here that made the lonely days less lonely. I embarked on a pilgrimmage of such that consisted of jumping out of airplanes, working on diving boats on the Great Barrier Reef, traveling into the outback for a month with little contact with civilization and trying to enjoy the kindness and interesting differences amongst all of the new people I was to meet. As my days came to an end in the most beautiful I've ever been, I experienced the most confusion of my life. I made a promise to myself that I would not return to the craziness that my life had become in NYC. No more 12 hour days and weekends at a mall (I worked at Teen People). I asked myself over a few pints with my mates, "Where the hell am I most happy?" Philly girls always come home. Got off the plane and moved to Queen Village where every woman is a queen everyday. Change is scary but so exciting and full of new love and lessons.
