I am known to most in the music industry as a “Rare Commodity”. I have invested 13 years, assisting with some of today’s hottest artists and tours. In 1995, I started out as a freelance event planner, where I planned my most successful event, a Celebrity Kickball Game. Greg Street of V-103 did a live remote and the celebrities included SoSo Def (yes JD was there), Mace, Organized Noize, Lisa “Left-Eye” Lopez & Left-Eye Productions, Silk, Chris Tucker, DJ Smurf, and many others. Silk hooked me up with Chris Tucker brothers, Norris & Dexter Tucker, who were throwing Chris a huge birthday party and they wanted me to help. Chris wanted Usher to perform, therefore I had to contact Jonnetta Patton and we instantly hit it off. The next week I had my first real gig in the music industry, with superstar sensation recording artist, “Usher”. Years later, I ventured off into the touring industry and worked as a production assistant on a 40-city tour with Ruff Ryder’s and the Cash Money Millionaires, which expanded my experience and background. I effectively and efficiently catapulted my way into a working relationship with Jeff Sharp, who is one of the top tour promoters in the country. Under Sharp’s direction, I planned several tours including the Scream Tours, R. Kelly-TP-2 Tour, EWF- Cool Blue September Tour, Will Downing, Jonathan Butler, and Chante Moore, just to name a few. I also managed the day-to-day business of Sharp’s tour bus company, Custome Livery. A brief time after, I was contacted and offered to return to the Usher camp, which I gladly accepted. I have had a great opportunity to be diverse in this business. I worked with Usher’s Production Company (US Productions), Hitland Studios (Usher’s studio), JPat Management and JLack Tracks. I have worn many hats. One in particular, is being able to manage a production company and studio, while handling day to day office duties of JPat Management. In addition, I carried out the Executive Administrative duties for super producer, JLack. These attributes and more are the reasons I am considered “rare”. I have proven that I can handle the pressures of running a studio, scheduling producers, writers, and engineers, as well as handle the day-to-day operations of a high volume management company. My latest venture is SwitchHitz Entertainment, LLC, with my business partner Patricia Johnson. SwitchHitz Entertainment, LLC… "Saving Music 1 Hit at a Time". S.H.E. currently has four major clients including two writers and two producers. S.H.E signed EMI Publishing writer, Rasheem “Kilo” Pugh, who co-wrote 8 songs on Lauryn Hill’s Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. He has also published works on John Legend, Dante Thomas, Faith Evans, Bilal, Heather Headley, Ghostface, Swizz Beatz, Anthony Hamilton, Amerie, Mr. Vegas. Currently, he has two songs, "ColorBlind" and "Emelody" on the 2008 Grammy-Nominated new artist Emily King/J Records. S.H.E.’s other writer is Marlon “The Writer” Coles, an incredibly talented writer who has past placements with Gerald Levert and Jimmy Cozier. His most recent placement is “Crave It”, a song on London’s album w/Universal, he is also working on Lloyd/The Inc./Universal, Michelle Williams/Musicworld, Carmen/Atlantic, among others.S.H.E.’s producers include Rich Nice with 1Up Productions and MakItHot (Miykal Snoddy and LeShunn Williams). Rich’s latest placements include "She's Not You" on Raheem DeVaughn's latest project and Amerie’s single "Gotta Work" and another song on her album called "Hate to Love You". He also produced singles for Mya, "Fallen" and "You"; Keyshia Cole, "You've Changed"; and Ice Cube, "Until We Rich". Other placements include Jennifer Lopez, Jaheim, Sisqo, and Dru Hill, just to name a few. S.H.E.’s other producing team, MakItHot (Miykal Snoddy and LeShunn Williams), latest placements include “The Workout” on Hurricane Chris/J Records latest project. "Sex Fo Yo Stereo" on Trey Songz’/Atlantic Records on the Trey Day Album and "Crabz in a Bucket" by 50-Cent Feat. Mobb Deep. MakitHot has also worked with Jamie Foxx (Unpredictable), Rhymfest, Four Brothers Movie Score, Mya, Daz (new project), Solange Knowles (new project).
