Hailing from Louisville, Kentucky Blackroom has worked hard to succeed in the local music scene. Earning admiration and respect from fans and fellow musicians alike drives them to reach new heights. Their professionalism and promotional skills have earned them unlimited offers to perform at several venues. A review published in Louisville Music News in July of 2008 proves they do not disappoint. “Impressive is the word that comes to mind seeing this Louisville band in action.†(Eddy Metal)
The musical stylings of Blackroom are of a mainstream rock variety, although the uniqueness of their writing style is new and refreshing. Blackroom’s writing process is more of a jam session where one riff, drum beat or vocal melody transforms into an entire song. This allows for every song to be not that of one individuals influence but that of every member, a true collaboration.
Beginning in 2007, Blackroom finally hit the stage in the spring of 2008 for the first time. With nine songs and an eagerness to be heard the response was amazing. That first performance left them wanting more and they continue to push forward to open new doors. Being played on the local radio station 93.1 the fox’s local radio hour was the first of those doors. There are many more to open if not kick down.
