I'd like to meet:
I'm usually willing to meet/talk to anyone if there's a common point of reference. Sadly, common points of reference are sometimes hard to come by.
More specifically?
People with good taste in music:: While I have favored styles of music, I'm willing to listen to almost anything as long as it's good, regardless of genre. If it has the ability to captivate me, make me dance, or make me think then I will enjoy it. With one exception:
I just don't get "emo".
People with good taste in literature: I am a voracious reader. A man-whore for the printed word. Compulsive, even. I will read anything. Stun me with your recommendations.
People who have something to say beyond the usual: I like being challenged. I would rather get into a friendly argument with someone and come out of it with something new to think about or a new way of looking at things than talk about the same thing in consensus all the time. I can handle chit-chat for a little while, but get easily distracted when there is nothing new to talk about.
People with a warped sense of humor: The stranger the funny, the better.
NOTE: I don't have an overwhelming need to whore-up my friends list numbers. Everyone on it is either someone I know in ReaLife(TM), someone I've at least talked to, or musicians/actors/writers I'm a fan of. If you want to add me to your friends list, please send me a message that has a kernal of relevant discussion potential other than the ubiquitous "YER KEWL, ADD ME!" or "I like your profile, now come to my porn site". If I don't know you from somewhere, and I don't get a message from you, then I will not add you as a friend.
