Making her debut in the R&B scene while attending high school she performed at local talent shows and park festivals in the Chicago area. She later went on to attend Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Mo. earning a Bachelor of Science in Sociology. In 2001, Renata J. began making a name for herself singing at local engagements and school concerts. To her credit, not only did she perform and took part in writing, she taped a commercial for the new Lincoln university theme song, ..furthering the dream,.. airing throughout the Missouri area to promote Lincoln university.Renata J. talents not only include singing, but she is also developing her charisma for writing and arranging. Renata J. is currently working on her first demo that is filled with style, love, pain, and crunck music giving a small taste of what has to come. Renata J. is also working on releasing an independent cd entitled, ..dedicate.. the cd will include at least thirteen songs of the work that she and others have helped her create. She also has created a web page on myspace.com to help promote her talents.Renata J. has been performing live throughout the Midwest and southern region since summer of 2006...The only thing that makes me happy is the pure sound of music. The way it makes a person feel when they hear the words and they feel that I have captured what they have been thinking of, or wanting to say all along is a joy in itself. I love music because it is an expression of life. This is my destiny and I will continue to strive to make my dream come true for this is my gift from God...
