She has formerly been taught and coached by Almita & Roland Vamos, Desiree Ruhstrat, Ilya Kaler, Nathon Cole, Simin Ganatra. She has been featured in masterclasses with the Tokyo String Quartet, Donald Weilerstein, Stephen Clapp, Jennifer Ko, and Rachel Barton Pine. She has recieved 3 Merit Scholarships from the Music Institute of Chicago, Farwell Award by the Musicians Club of Women, and the Martin Scholarship from the Union League Civic and Arts Foundation. She is also the 2004 Concerto Winner of the CYSO Competition, 2006 Winner of Skokie Valley Concerto Competition, Winner of the 2006 Blount Slawson Young Artist Competition, 2006 NFAA ARTS winner and Presidential Scholar Nominee, 2x Winner in the Rembrandt Chamber Music Competition, 2004 Bronze Medal in the Junion Fischoff International Chamber Music Competition. Hanah has concertized throughout the US, giving performances in Chicago, Boston, North Carolina, Alabama, Miami, and New York. Some of these venues included the Dame Myra Hess Concert Series, Music in the Loft, Chicago Cultural Center, Steinway Young Artist Series, WHIM Festival in St. Croix (US Virgin Islands), the 2005 Summer Tour to Budepest, Vienna, and Prague with the Encore Chamber Orchestra as concertmistress and radio appearances on WFMT, WBEZ, and twice on "From the Top" (1 with her trio, 1 solo and duet with the infamous Sarah Chang). She has soloed with the Montgomery Symphony Orchestra, Skokie Valley Symphony Orchestra, Racine Symphony Orchestra, Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra, and Drostan Hall Chamber Orchestra. She has spent her summers previously at the Credo Chamber Music Festival and Yellowbarn Young Artist Festival. This summer she received a coveted Fellowship to the Aspen Music Festival and School and recently became a member of the Gluck Community Fellowship Program, a New York Outreach program. Hanah was also a featured in the documentary "Rehearsing A Dream". Hanah's recent non-classical ventures include Corporeal, the band she's in (who have gotten internet fame for their Halo extravaganza on youtube, had online interviews with Kotaku.com, played at Microsoft's E3, and currently had interviews for "gamehead" on spike tv and the Daily Herald Newspaper, AND came out with their first album hint: go buy it on www.corporealmusic.net :) ). Some funny facts: her first real money making experience was when she was 10 years old. Her mommy wanted her to practice during a waiting period for a connecting flight. So she opened up her case right in the middle of the Texas airport. She made $78 in a half hour. Not bad for a little pipsqueak in glasses and braids. She can also currently be found playing with a quintet every now and then in the New York Subway and Central park.Where you can find her:http://www.fromthetop.org/Programs/performers.cfm?pid=17 74 http://www.hbo.com/docs/programs/rehearsingadream/synopsis.h tml http://youngarts.us/alumni/p_bio.cfm?alumni_id=31365 http://www.gametrailers.com/player/usermovies/84620.html http://www.xbox.com/en-US/community/events/e32007/articles/s torybehindcorporeal.htm http://kotaku.com/gaming/halo/feature-hanah-stuart-halo-viol inist-202978.php http://www.dailyherald.com/story/?id=90229...to name a few :)
