Digicity (M) Sdn. Bhd. started out in 1996 as a company focusing on supply, maintenance and repair of computers and IT peripherals. Information Technology industry enjoyed a massive boom during the time of our inception but it was confined to only the major cities in Malaysia. Our founders saw a niche in addressing the IT needs of smaller states hence the opening of our first office in Malacca. We are a bumiputera company that provides on-site support services be it to homes or offices. We also have fast-response services and rapid repair methods to ensure the client would not have to wait too long before continuing their work.
Since the early days we emphasized on good customer service, fast delivery and meeting customer requirement. We pride ourselves in always delivering what we have promised and our staffs are constantly trained on the latest technology in order to advice our client on the best possible solution to their immediate and long term IT needs.
Over the years Digicity grew steadily which was reflected in increase sales as well as maintenance contracts. Based on our excellent track record in meeting delivery deadlines coupled with strong technical team, we were selected by Mimos Smart Computing Sdn Bhd to install and maintain Mimos computers for the state of Malacca. The success/experience of installing and maintaining Mimos PCs from the year 2000 was made possible with the support and commitment of our highly-trained staff to carry out their duties.
In 2003, the company succeeded in securing a project to supply computer hardware and software (including high-end Unix Servers and specialized engineering software) for Universiti Teknologi Petronas..
Digicity (M) Sdn Bhd was also appointed as the System Integrator in the Malacca State for the “Pembekalan Peralatan Sains dan Matematik didalam Bahasa Inggeris Fasa II (PPSMI Fasa II)” project by Time System Integrators Sdn Bhd. The scope of work included the installation and commissioning for the material supplied to 285 schools in the whole of Malacca State. The company also succeeded in securing the maintenance contract for the abovementioned equipment/material for 3 years.
Recently, Digicity managed to secure a contract from DRB Hicom to handle the Installation and Support Services for 11 more schools in Malacca. The contract runs for 3 years.
