I’m a saxophone player by trade. I grew up in Appleton, WI and went to college in Ann Arbor, where I studied saxophone with Donald Walden at the University of Michigan. Both in and out of school I got to learn from a lot of great musicians including Donald Sinta, Ellen Rowe, Roland Vazquez, Paul Keller, all those killin’ saxophone players, Young Laith Al-Saadi, Joce’lyn B and the Detroit Street Players, etc., as well as doing a few months on the road with the Glenn Miller Orchestra. After spending a couple years living and playing in Chicago I moved back up to Wisconsin in late 2006. I am currently playing alto saxophone with the Clyde Stubblefield Band as well as various other Madison based bands including the Jimmys, Chafo, Weapons of Mass Defunktion, and Adam Isaac and the People and teach privately at Ward Brodt Music and the Madison Music Foundry.
