I am a Physics grad student currently attending the University of Rochester. If you hadn't guessed, this means that I don't have a lot of time to get out. However, when I do get out I like to do a multitude of things. I'm a bit of a dilettante, and you can get me to converse about and be interested in *nearly* any subject.
My main interests currently include science (particularly physics, of course) and philosophy. I like fooling around with Linux and programming. On a more physical level, I enjoy middle eastern dance, and dance of my particular variety whenever I get out to clubs. I practice Shao-lin, when the semester doesn't overtake me. On a less weekly basis I enjoy hiking and camping, and I am a somewhat participatory member of the SCA (mostly for ME dance) and thus I go to Estrella War every year.
Of course, this year it will be Pennsic...
I live a disparate life in which I have underground friends and science friends, and rarely the twain do meet. Sometimes this makes me a little lonely, but I am generally an upbeat (*almost* perky) person who just happens to take an interest in the dark and spooky.
Also, rumor has it that I like to spice food. A lot. So, if you're looking for a flavorful meal, come to my house.
