A little background--------
Kyle started like most being self-taught, learning through middle school and high school jazz and concert bands. Even at a young age Kyle received numerous awards for his music accomplishments : Marine Corps "Semper Fidelis" for Music Excellence Award, Bank Of America Achievement Award in the Field of Fine Arts, and Louis Armstrong Jazz Award. Kyle then received his Associates Degree with an emphasis in music at Cuesta Community College. Following college he refined his technical skills by studying at Musicians Institute where he earned his Journeyman and Professional Certificate in Percussion. He has studied under LA's finest musicians and comes highly recommended by Fred Dinkins(The Emotions), Jeff Bowders(Rebecca St.James, Paul Gilbert), David Leach(Ben Harper, DMB), Ed Roscetti, Sammy J. Watson, Chuck Silverman, Gary Hess, and Rob Carson. Kyle has shared the stage with artist such as Joe Parcaro, Big Head Todd & The monsters, Jin Blossoms, Dan Dyer and others on various stages like Sammy Hagar’s Cabo Wabo Cantina. He has played with WBR( World Beat Rhythms), The Johnny Starlings, Bluz Dogz, Lakes Band, Christa Schweikhard, Zzah, Sleepy Guitar Johnson and has played and toured with numerous other groups including Kevin Hahn Band, Justin Fox Band, Liv, and FLY40.
Kyle expanded his professional drum career making his drum company, Drum Sync, www.drumsync.com. Drumsync was created for the drummer, and for educational, entertainment and ministry purposes. Kyle is the founder and teacher of Drum Sync Academy and teaches private individual lessons. His first Drum Sync Academy facility/studio was in San Luis Obispo, CA. Were he was the the Central Coast most requested Hand Percussion Instructor. But now Currently (8/1/09), Kyle is RELOCATING his academy to Nashville, TN. Kyle’s Drum Sync goes to businesses to provide a fun, morale building experience for the workplace with events and interactive workshops. Kyle has reached out to the worship drummers at churches with clinics and workshops.
If he is not on stage, he is still in the spotlight going to elementary schools, private grammar schools or other educational institutes sharing his passion for drums.
