Opened in Oct 2004 and now firmly established as one of Belfast's premier music venues. The Spring & Airbrake has already hosted acts such as Hard-Fi, The Kooks, Ash, Jose Gonzalez and Fall Out Boy, to name but a few.Katy Daly'sKaty Daly's, winner of the 2007 FATE 'Best Classic Bar' award is a Belfast institution, operating a 'come one come all policy where dress codes are thrown out the window and you're as likely to see the Suits out for a friendly workman's as lecture dodging students. Opening at 12 to serve simple, no-nonsense pub grub 'til 2.30 Katy's Lunch features student-friendly prices with daily specials for the more adventurous. Monday night is Katy Daly's infamous Pub Quiz where shock, awe and corn based snacks are the order of the day. Thursday night is Katy Daly's Music Club where talented young singer songwriters serenade the crow - bring your own guitar and get an artist's pint! The weekend lands on Friday with the Ale Sale and Saturday features the best of local metal from the Distortion Project. Sunday is laid back and casual with No Dancing, the perfect way to round off the week.Auntie Annie's.Auntie Annie's is Katy Daly's sister bar, located a stone's throw away on the popular Dublin Road. Expect more of the same from Annie's - friendly staff, a great jukebox and cheap, decent grub. Upstairs is the main attraction however - an intimate venue where the best in local acts take the stage alongside some of the greatest touring bands that you didn't even know you loved yet. Saturday nights play host to the Science - a club where anything goes musically and one of the best places to go dancing at the weekend. Every other Tuesday the great peeps down at Bruised Fruit run Up In The Attic - a three band local music extravaganza where the focus is on the cream of the local music scene and is an absolute steal at £3 - that's a pound a band!
