Darrien fell into love with detroit techno music when he was listening to a 12 hours performance by Laurent Garnier at stufenbau ittigen 1994. Influenced by national DJs like Dani Koenig or Eric Borgo, he started to play this kind of music himself about one year later.
While most of his friends - like allmost the whole swiss edm scene - were mostly into trance, he stayed true to himself and the music he played. Therefore, it wasnt easy to find an audiance for his music in the beginning, but with the time passing by, more and more people arround him got into this kind of music. He then started to throw parties for the community together with friends from central switzerland and got in thouch with more and more artists and organisations having the same musical affinity as he did. Thus, he was able to throw larger parties and start to perform in a wider area of Switzerland.
Nowadays he plays sets from minimal to pure techno music in many famous (and infamous ;-) clubs all around Switzerland besides acts like Jeff Mills, Marco Carola, Robert Hood, Monika Kruse, Cari Lekebusch, Gabriel Ananda, Johannes Heil and many others.
He also established himself as resident DJ at Rohstofflager Zuerich, the most important club for pure techno music in switzerland since 1997.
