The Isotonik Crew were thrown together at the start of the Old Skool hardcore revival that began at the end of the 90's (and is still going strong nearly 10 years later). MC Ice & DJ Lukozade, who'd already been working together at various raves around London, decided a collaborative name was needed & The Isotonik Crew was born. When Lukozade & Ice joined the legendary London pirate Eruption 101.3 FM in 2001 they were introduced to Perry K, himself a Moondance resident, and eventually he was recruited – so the Crew went from two to three.
Since then the Isotonik Crew have smashed up raves up and down the country and all over Europe, from Camden to Skegness, Hastings to Wisbech, Amsterdam to Barcelona and beyond! All the scenes big players have called on them at some stage in the last 7 years – Raindance, Slammin' Vinyl, Helter Skelter, Moondance, Best of British, Innovation, Vibealite and they've headlined at some of the countries biggest and most legendary rave venues – Camden Palace (Koko), Bagleys, SeOne, Brixton Academy, Birmingham NEC, Heaven, Alexandra Palace, Stratford Rex...
Music wise The Isotonik Crew have always tried to be a little bit different and were one of, if not the, first to start mixing Nu Skool Breakbeat with Old Skool Hardcore in peak time main arena sets (check out the NYE 2000 Raindance set – 50/50 Nu & Old)! Sets containing some of the rarer Hardcore classics as well as tunes coming straight out of leftfield in the Old Skool arena (Underworld's Born Slippy, Groove Armada's Superstylin, Salt & Peppa's Push It are a few examples) are all mixed up in to a high-octane full on rave extravaganza. Versatility is the Isotonik Crew's secret and crowd response always plays a big part in how their sets develop. Anything goes as long as the party's rocking!
