I've always been surrounded by music in some form or another whether it was my dad practicing his french horn or playing his stereo at blistering volumes. There was always some symphony or aria permeating the living room. When I was 15, my uncle taught me some basics on guitar and I've been playing off and on ever since. He had an electric. For the first week, I thought my fingers would spontaneously combust. I soon thereafter rescued my mother's classical guitar from the closet and melted into the soft, nylon strings. I've since acquired a Seagull, toughened up and want to give electric another go. Electronics are expensive.I can't tell jokes or relay stories. I forget them as soon as I hear them and I seem to remember details out of sequence. But I laugh loud at other people's stories and jokes. My favorite person in the whole world is my daughter. My favorite thing to be is her mother. When she was a toddler, she would dampen my strings when I tried to play. I didn't play much for her first 4 years or so. Now she likes to sing with me and always asks for Kristin Hersh and Blondie songs. My kid rocks.I want to travel around in an RV packed with musical accouterments and play music around the country with child in tow collecting friends, knowledge and songs. It's a goal. If we come through your town, can we sleep on your couch?I hate writing bios for myself. I'm surprised I've gotten this far. Much love to you all. I hope you like my songs.
