Fleshflower was put together by drummer Pete Schwartz (that's me) and vocalist Doug Thoms in 1992 after the breakup of the last band they were in together.Bass player Peter Gualteire was in the pop art band King Friday and Guitarist Jeff Regwelski was new in town and student at the Boston Conservatory of Music. The band was quickly known for their theatrical show's and powerful music. With many musical influences the song's ranged from Hypnotic grooves to full blown-out metal and off the wall experimental pieces. The band shared the stages with many great local bands and in 1993 were asked to play in the WBCN rock and roll rumble with bands like Cobalt 60,Malachite,Tree,and Twisted Roots.Fleshflower placed 4th and within days after were in search of a new lead guitar player. After endless audition's they found new guitarist Steven Canter - Fleshflower took the rumble prize of studio time and quickly made a new demo with the help of Fort Apache'sTim O'heir and Carl Plaster featuring 3 songs:Addicted To Pork - Glass Eye and Mean It.This is my tribute to what I thought was a great band that broke some ground in the Boston music scene in the early/mid 90's - I hope you enjoy the songs.I have quite a bit of studio and live tracks I will be rotating over time. Thanks for looking and listening.
