Band Members: Central Jersey is an unusual place for an artist to rest one's head. Not quite New York as is Newark, EO and Elizabeth and not quite Philly as is Trenton, Camden or AC. Central Jersey has always struggle to gain a sense of hip hop identity. Which brings us to little gully town nestled in between the tree lined suburb of Scotch Plains and the relatively quiet Piscataway. Plainfield, know by many names, Queen City, P-funk, Painfield , and all the others infamous titles. And well known, in its own rights, from the Strand Theater to the second street ho stroll. Plainfield has had its share of fame and infamy. Through it all there must emerge a product of circumstances. An able body individual strong enough to embody all that is. Jak Mckoy is that one. Relatively new to the rap game JaK Mckoy approaches the situation like a seasoned vet. He plans on taking from his experience and environment around him to take this rap game by storm. In his few years in the game, Jak Mckoy has been putting in his share of paying dues. He has blazed many stages from Rutgers Fest, black college tours and notable freestyle battles. He has also had several local and national publication interviews such as Scratch and Network Magazine. Jak McKoy's current project "F%*.. You Pay Me", hosted by world famous Big Mike has been getting Jak McKoy rave reviews. He wants to be known as the urbanite who delivers good music that keep heads banging. Jak Mckoy's rap style is a blend of what could be described as "fire and ice." He has a smooth cool delivery but still spits that hotness that burns with each sixteen. Jak Mckoy has the star quality to take it to the next level. Songs like" THINK IT OVER" heats the listener's ears. The real talk "CREATE A LEGEND" and "I DON'T GIVE A F**K" will keep fickle hip hop heads wanting more. Jak Mckoy's lofty and honorable goals, such as winning a Grammy Award and financially providing for his family are some achievements he plans to grasp. "Everyone must rise to the occasion to achieve greatness." With this type of philosophy and talent to match, Jak Mckoy plans to be the new exciting voice of New Jersey and create fans world wide.
