As Salaam Alaikum! Welcome To AYO ABY HOME SCHOOL ACADEMY. AYO ABY is an acronym for "Accept Your Own And BE Yourself".I am the mother of three beautiful children, that I have been educating at home since the beginning! When I first ventured out to find home school materials, I purchased overpriced curriculum, that did not fit my children's learning styles. The content of these programs, was usually below the recommended grade level, and I often had to change or alter it to reflect my culture and religion. Needless to say, I became frustrated. Words from Message To The Blackman(We Must Teach Our Own p.48)by The Honorable Elijah Muhammad and The Origin Of Blackness by The Honorable Minister Farrakhan, resounded in my mind. I had to give them something of their own. I started researching and developing curriculum, to use at home with my own children. When other Sisters saw my work,they urged me to make my materials available for all of us. I am continuing to work towards my goal of developing a National Home School Curriculum. I would like to collaborate with other Believers who share this interest.I have recently compiled some of my lesson plans into Units. The first unit is a comprehensive study of The General Orders. It is designed to give your child(ren) an understanding of The General Orders in the Mosque, as well as in everyday life. It is intended to use in the home with multiple aged children, from preschool to about 5th grade. This eBook is 175 pages and contains instructions for the parent as well as printable worksheets for your children.
