“Because Your love is better than life, my lips will glorify You.†Ps. 63:3 NIV
From conception, God placed a mandate on his life to not only be a worshipper; but to help usher the Body of Christ into an atmosphere of worship.
His musical journey began as a young child at the age of seven singing in the Sunbeam Choir at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Herndon, VA. His keen sense of music and vocal control, at that age, was far beyond his years. Even at the age of seven, the calling on his life was very apparent. Words of prophecy began to be spoken over his life; “God has a great call on you,†“God is going to use your voice to speak to the nations.â€
By his teen years, he was one of the lead singers and assistant director of the church mass choir. It is also in this season that he realized he had miraculously obtained an ear to play the piano. Soon after, he took lessons to enhance this gift.
The music lessons sparked an interest for musical training on the college level. As a result, he received his Bachelors of Music Degree in Vocal Performance from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. During his undergraduate years he diligently studied operatic repertoire and performance. God’s favor and his work ethic opened doors for various performance and travel opportunities. Some opportunities included performances in St. Moritz, Switzerland; Salzburg, Austria; New York City, The Carolinas, and all over the Washington, DC Metropolitan area.
Currently, he is honored to serve as the Director of Music & Arts for his home church, Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Herndon, VA under the tutelage of Rev. Dr. James L. Graham, Jr.
Today, the manifestation of the prophetic words spoken over his life as a young child is taking shape. He has been honored to minister with such artists as; Myron Butler and Levi, Tramaine Hawkins, Richard Smallwood, Earnest Pugh, and LaShun Pace. May 2007 marked his entrance into the gospel music industry as a signed artist with the Indie record label, Appointed Entertainment Group; out of Laurel, MD. This is just another testament to God’s faithfulness in keeping every promise that He has made in his life.
