"When you come to knowing God, the initiative lies on His side. If He does not show Himself, nothing you can do will enable you to find Him. And, in fact, He shows much more of Himself to some people than to others---not because He has favorites, but because it is impossible for Him to show Himself to a man whose whole mind and character are in the wrong condition. Just as sunlight, though it has no favorites, cannot be reflected in a dusty mirror as clearly as in a clean one." C.S. Lewis..
Who do I want to meet?......Jesus Christ, my savior, whenever He calls me home.
I'm interested in finding others who have put their trust in Christ in order to strengthen and encourage one another.
=)
And just as a personal note, I'd love to meet Chuck Norris. Seriously, those who know me understand this!! =)
You Are A Lily
You are a nurturer and all around natural therapist.
People see you as their rock. And they are able to depend on you.
You are a soothing influence. You can make people feel better with a few words.
Your caring has more of an impact than even you realize.
First off, I am a child of the 80's and I'm sorry, but I still LOVE the big-haired, cheese-y bands from that era. I still think Debbie Gibson and Tiffany are awesome and couldn't live without a little Journey and REO Speedwagon in there!!!! However, I mostly listen to Christian Rock, with Kutless and Skillet being two of my favorites. But when it comes to Christian music, I really do love any of it, whether it's rock or worship songs. I do enjoy some Country, with Rascal Flatts being a huge favorite of mine...

I adore Sci-Fi, futuristic and fantasy-type movies. Things like The Matrix,The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Aeon Flux, etc, etc. Also, Alice in Wonderland is THE BEST cartoon ever; Taylor would definitely agree with me on this one!! I could watch The Princess Bride over & over. My top movie list includes The Passion of the Christ, The Italian Job, Sleepover, The Count of Monte Cristo, Practical Magic, 7 Brides for 7 Brothers and the most recently watched (and loved) P.S. I love you and Definitely, Maybe. The last movie I saw in the theater was "The Women", and I am subjected to a ton of Disney movies, but secretly, I LOVE them!!)
I really don't watch very much television, but my new favorite to watch with Jason is "Fringe". When my all-time favorite show ended (CHARMED!!!), I bought each season on DVD! haha I do enjoy some reality shows, right now it's "America's Next Top Model".
The Shack by William P. Young; YOU GOTTA READ IT!!! It will enlighten you, encourage you to be close with God, and give you an astonishing look at how the Lord views our relationship with Him..it is BRILLIANT. Right now I'm kind of reading "What's so amazing about grace?" I adore the Left Behind series, having read all 12 books and already wanting to re-read them!! I continue to make my way through the most important book ever; the Bible. Oh, and call me crazy, but I have read the Harry Potter books, and loved the entire series!! I received the last book in the series for Christmas, & I kid you not, I read the entire book in two days...I couldn't put it down. But I'm that way with most books. I have to limit myself and how much I read because I can do it & be oblivious to all around me (which, my kids LOVE because they can act like wild animals & I'm just like, 'oh, whatever, children, swing from the curtains, that's great!'). I lose myself in books & enjoy reading to the very deepest part of my soul. I adore Danielle Steel for certain 'story-book romances', a little suspense in John Grisham, Sue Grafton & her awesome 'alphabet murders' gives my life a little kick. I used to be able to read Stephen King & Dean Koontz, but now they just seem to scare the poo out of me so I prefer to stick to things I can read without needing the lights on!
Jesus Christ is most definitely my hero. His death gave the world its salvation, a gift of eternal life for all who believe in Him. How much more heroic can it get than that?? And I wouldn't call my brother Jeff my hero, but he is for certain a man that I love and respect very much; he is a good man. I admire him for his loyalty, his ability to love his wife deeply and be married without losing who he is. I admire him for the kind of husband he has become and the kind of father that he is and should be. I respect him for using his life to serve as a U.S. soldier, caring about people who could not care less about what he has to go through to serve in our military. I love his sense of humor and the ability he has to make me laugh. I enjoy his company because he's intelligent, kind, and a smart-aleck, with a biting sarcasm, that is JUST LIKE ME! I love him for the brother and friend he's always been to me, no matter what. Most importantly, he provides me with unconditional love; it doesn't matter what I look like or what I say, never matters who I love or don't like. He just loves me anyway and that's the best gift he can give to me!Weather Forecast | Weather Maps | Weather Radar
