Wild Out Ent. and Palm Tree Ent.'s newly signed artist Pooh Bear was born July 7, 1989 in Raleigh NC. As a little boy he would always run to the television whenever Winnie the Pooh would come on, and sing the song. His family took notice and began to call him Pooh Bear, the name obviously stuck. When Pooh Bear was 13 years old he realized that he could really sing and had real talent. At 15 years old Pooh Bear had his first real performance at the Foxy 99 FM. Community Cookout in Lumberton, NC. Many opportunities followed and then he auditioned for the 3rd season of American Idol. He made it to the 2nd round before leaving due to voice problems. In Pooh Bear's career he has accomplished so many things. He has opened up for artists like Dougie Fresh, Jon B, Lloyd, Mario, Plies, Dem Franchise Boys, VIC, Yung Berg, Trey Songz, and many more. He hopes to one day go on his own tour and give other aspiring artists the opportunity to open up for him. On Valentine's day 2007 Pooh Bear dropped his first album entitled Honey Pot. When asked what he wanted to accomplish in his career the artist replied, "Basically, what I want to do is be the first artist to take RnB back to what it used to be. Old fashioned love songs without all the sexual inuendos. I want to accomplish something that no other young RnB artist has ever accomplished, and thats come out with true RnB hits consistently while staying true to myself and my fans. I want to be young, black entrepreneur." Pooh Bear would like to thank all of his fans because without them, he wouldn't be where he is today. He wants to thank his managers DJ Juice and M.I.A.M.I.
