I'm just your average amateur photographer. For a longer period of time I took pictures with an old Samsung point'n'shooter. May 2006 was a turning point when I decided to buy the Nikon D50. I expected that I would take more picures after my purchase but never the amount and frequency of which I take pictures now. It's a slow if I don't shoot at least a couple of shots a day.
As for the photo blog the goal is to upload one image a day. Making it harder for myself it has to be a "good" shot. One that I'm content with and that means something to me. Not always an easy task but it sure help to get me out there snapping away.
