Henrys is legendary in the Irish house scene for being the home of sweat on saturday nights.djs greg dowling and shane johnson spun deep house on the main room,stevie g played hip hop and more in the back bar and marq walsh & guests showcased some not so deep house in room three. Henrys has been voted in the top five clubs by MTV viewers in the past but you wouldn't know it from the outside. It has a low profile inside and out, the atmosphere and music make the club."If you are going to Henrys on a Saturday night be advised that it is called sweat for a reason! Remember to take some cool breaks if you are in the "cattle pit",the main dance floor, too long." along with hosting just about every big house dj from carl cox to kerri chandler it has also seen legendary performances by phil lynott, nirvana, sonic youth, john martyn and more. over the years sir henrys has been also played home to other great nights such as freakscene on wednesdays,beachball/snowball on thursdays,bastardo eclectro on fridays,jah love on mondays and plenty more. after completing 13 years in sir henry's main room,sweat residents greg dowling and shane johnson moved on in november of 2001,djing across the globe and focusing on their productions for various record labels under the name fish go deep.the main room was then taken over by adrian dunlea and finally ronan c. sadly, in 2003 sir henrys shut its doors for good and the building was soon demolished.this is a tribute page
