Back to China:
I’m a kid that sometimes has deep thoughts. I think I will always be playful, but for those that know me well, there will be times that they look in my eyes and see a glimmer of something deeper and uncertain. My philosophy is simple. I enter every situation thinking people will like me and try to leave some positive energy everywhere I go. Life is too short to sacrifice happiness for ambition. I do seek money, health and love, but I am trying to have a balance of all three in my life.
I'm a “third culture kidâ€, I have grown up all over the world, but I don’t really have a culture to call my own. It’s been an amazing ride, living in Malaysia, Beijing, Guangzhou, Philippines, New York and now Eugene.
I’m what Chinese call “hun xue†(mixed blood). My dad is American and my mom is Singaporean-Chinese.
I am an American citizen and American culture has influenced my thinking in many ways, yet I still feel out of place in the US. There is something that keeps bringing me back to China. I am currently planning to go to Shanghai in September or October to start my new life there. I’m excited to see what adventures Shanghai has in store for me.
(I speak Chinese, but don’t read or write it, so unfortunately I won’t be able to read any Chinese massages.)
