August 15, 2007: My fiancé (!) Adam proposed on our 7th Anniversary in the same spot he kissed me for the first time.... Check out the blog for more details!
I was born premature, so I guess I've always been in a hurry to get to the next place, next event, next life stage... I've always been excited about the challenges and experiences of what is just around the corner. I love the idea of being in control and making the choices that will shape my life, and hope that my life will affect others', whether it be through a smile and compliment that makes a day take a turn for the better, or by making somebody rethink their outlook on life, to try to fully appreciate and validate themselves and those around them. You never know what will happen, so it's best to make today count. Do what makes you happy. And never leave without saying goodbye to the people you love, and making sure they know how you feel about them. Even when you're mad at them. Life is too short for drama. Period.
I've lived with my handsome high school sweetheart, now Mr. Fiancé, Adam (effin genius photographer/actor) since August 2004. We have two little girls. Maltese. Sophie was born on August 25 2005, and Bella was born on February 12, 2007. Bella always wants to do everything her big sister Sophie does, and it's so funny to see Sophie run around with her new shadow. After living in our awesome apartment in NoHo, we now live in a house in B-town, where we both grew up. We love Burbank
School Stuff: Immaculate Heart High c/o 2002. All girls catholic high school. And it was great. Graduated in 05 from USC with BA in Theatre.
Beeeeee yourself. So simple, and yet, it's so hard. How do we determine the level of true self that we put on the line? How do you trust people after you've been trained to be suspicious? How do you allow the people you love to truly see the real you, even when you're in a fight, or you're trying to prove a point, or you're so angry that you just want to do or say something hurtful? This is what I've been working on. And it all rests on learning about yourself, learning to communicate effectively, and finally learning to express your feelings (especially hurt or anger) in a productive, sensitive way. No easy task.
Looking back on everything I've been through, everything that's happened through the years, I have to say I love where I am today, and I feel so grateful for everything I've been given. {Somewhere in my youth or childhood... I must have done something good.}
I love my sister Elisa. She is the coolest! And we have TST :-)
To love someone deeply gives you strength. Being loved by someone deeply gives you courage. ~Lao Tzu
"We are told that people stay in love because of chemistry, or because they remain intrigued with each other, because of many kindnesses, because of luck. But part of it has got to be forgiveness and gratefulness." - Ellen Goodman
