About Me

I'm a freelance bass player and bass guitar teacher. I recently graduated from the bass program at the Atlanta Institute of Music. I played with the Atlanta groove blues band Brown Coffee from 2008-09. From 2003-2008, I played bass with Detroit-area rock act Penumbrae. I have also played with fusion guitarist Bill Hart, the Swing City Big Band, the cover/dance group MC7, and the vocal jazz groups Blue Fusion and Midnight Blue. I have also done sessions for various projects.
The first track here is "She'll Never Know." This was my composition on Penumbrae's "One Way Drive" (Third Monk Records, 2005). I wrote that one and played bass and acoustic guitar on the recording. A few from the Atlanta Institute of Music graduation concert: "Bright Size Life" by Pat Metheny and my interpretation of Bill Evans' "Peace Piece" on solo 6-string bass. Also some videos: a couple of live Brown Coffee numbers, including Zawinul's "Mercy, Mercy, Mercy." Also a new video for Penumbrae's "My Happy Face," from "One Way Drive." Always one of my favorites from the record; I used a fretless on that one.
Peace.
