Walter Payton, nicknamed Sweetness, is arguably the best running back of all time. He was born in Coumbia Mississippi on July 24, 1954. He is one of the 26 Bears' Hall of Famers. (the Bears have the most Hall of Famers in the NFL.)
The '85 Bears are considered to be one of the greatest NFL teams of all time, with an amazing 15-1 record. With the help of Walter Payton, the Bears managed to defeat their playoff foes for a combined score of 45-0. (they shut out EVERY team in the playoffs.)
In Super Bowl XX the Monsters of the Midway defeated the New England Patriots 46-10, setting 7 super bowl records. In the same season they had an NFL record 9 probowlers.
Walter Payton holds the record for most rushing yards in a single game, with 275. At the time he had the flu!
