This was a private profile but I just recently changed it. Most of my friends already know me, but for those who want to know my background here it goes. My name is Vince Roldan. I’m full-blooded Filipino. I was born in the Fremont, CA. and I was raised in Sacramento, CA. I went to Mira Loma High School all 4 years and graduated in 1996. After High School I started working at the Post Office as a clerk sorting mail in West Sacramento. At the same time I was attending American River College. I worked at the Post Office and went to College for two years, from 1996-1998, and accomplished nothing. I also lost my one and only brother in 1996 to leukemia. I miss him dearly. In 1998 I finally realized that college life wasn’t for me. I failed most of my classes and I really didn’t learn anything and I figured if I keep this up, I will get nowhere in life. I got into a lot of trouble in the streets and I was doing a lot of dumb shit. On September 14, 1998 I joined the United States Marine Corps. I went to Boot Camp at MCRD San Diego. I spent three tough months in Boot Camp and it was brutal, but Marine Corps training disciplined and molded me to become a better Man. So far, in that point of my life, graduating Marine Corps Boot Camp was the biggest accomplishment I have ever made in my life. After Boot Camp I went on to Marine Combat Training and then to Communications School. Then I was finally sent to my first duty station in Okinawa, Japan. I was stationed at Camp Kinser and I lived in Okinawa for a full year. While stationed in Okinawa I started Rapping and making beats for a hobby and that’s what I usually did on my down time while stationed there. I started my own Rap/Hip-Hop group called the “Drunken Masterz”. All of us in the group were Marines. We have recorded many songs together, probably over a hundred songs. After my tour in Okinawa I was sent back to California and I was stationed with 1st Marine Division 1st Combat Engineer Battalion H&S Company Communications Platoon in the 62 area of Camp Pendleton. While stationed in Camp Pendleton I was still Rapping and Making Beats. I was also part of a Rap/Hip-Hop group with all new members. That group is now called “The Higher Caliber Klique” which still exists today. I spent the last two and a half years of my Marine Corps career in Camp Pendleton and I will never forget all the Marines that I have served with. It was an honor to serve with them. They will always be my other family. I was honorably discharged from the Marines on September 15, 2002. I am also happily married to my beautiful wife Amanda. We got married on June 22, 2003. Amanda is the Love of my life. She always supports me in whatever I do. She is the reason why I am successful and I am blessed to have her by my side. After I got out of the marines I was struggling looking for employment. I worked as a contractor for different Telecomm industries testing cell phones and working .. phone towers and antennas. The telecomm industry pays very well but it wasn’t stable. I did contractor work for at&t, Nextel, metro pcs, and other major cell phone companies. I worked in that field for about 3 years. Today I work as a Correctional Officer at Folsom State Prison. Going through the Academy was academically challenging. I’ve been working as a Correctional Officer for about two and a half years now. This is my career. I worked hard all my life and I believe I earned my way to success. I believe that hard work does pay off. My parents are also the reason I made it this far. It was because of their guidance that made me who I am. Well that was just a little bio about me. This wasn’t everything, but this is all I have to say for right now.
