I am here for Friends

About Me

I'm a graduate of the University of Toronto at Mississauga with an HBA (one major in English, two minors [History, and Professional Writing). Above all, as my friends and my online friends Christie, Melanie, and Liana can attest, I'm a comic collector as of sixteen years. For that time I've marvelled at the tales of Spider-Man, The Hulk, Superman, Batman, X-Men, and others. I have a lot of respect for the medium, and they've inspired me to become an artist in my own right, also a 16-year journey. I started with Ninja Turtles, then courtesy of How to Draw Comics The Marvel Way (vid and book), I graduated to drawing the human figures. When I thought I'd reached my peak, I went further and continue to refine my skills. I'm also a black belt in shotokan karate but have had to take time off for school. I'm also a writer, having worked for both the university and my community's newspapers. The highlight of my career has been interviewing the now-retired WWE Diva, the beautiful (but UGH! married) Trish Stratus. My career goal is to become a teacher, either elementary or high school level.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Marvel and DC alumnists like Denny O'Neill, Roger Stern, Stan Lee, the Romitas, and Jeph Loeb. In terms of celebs, I'd like to meet Jackie Chan, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Kristen Kreuk, Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, Erica Durance (so I can apologize for the convention of 05), Tom Welling, Richard Donner, and Bryan Singer. As for authors, Giles Blunt and Margaret Atwood are on my list. And lest I forget, I'd love to take a few pointers from artist Alex Ross.
