I created this sight to try and help spread the word about buying "RED" products. There are many different products that you can buy, and they are not all RED. You can go check out the RED line at the Gap, they are affordable, and stylish, but most importantly, they raise money for a wonderful cause! The Aids Pandemic in Africa is astonishing! Sub-Saharan Africa is more heavily affected by HIV and AIDS than any other region of the world. An estimated 24.5 million people were living with HIV at the end of 2005 and approximately 2.7 million new infections occurred during that year. In just the past year the epidemic has claimed the lives of an estimated 2 million people in this region. More than twelve million children have been orphaned by AIDS. (RED) was created by Bono and Bobby Shriver, Chairman of DATA, to raise awareness and money for The Global Fund by teaming up with the world's most iconic brands to produce RED-branded products. A percentage of each RED product sold is given to The Global Fund.
