When you lose the will to run...
"Konny! Konny if you don't get up you're just not going to Hogwarts!" Narcissa Malfoy screamed angrily up the stairs. Konstantine Malfoy pushed herself up and wiped the sleep from her eyes. Her mother was always loud and rude in the morning, so she had learned to become accustomed to it. She loved her mother though, and knew that her mother loved her. The thing about Konstantine was that ever since she was little it was very difficult to find people who disliked her. Most simply asked how she could possibly be related to the Malfoys. Her answer to this was a chuckle and sweet smile, and of course the question was always dropped. She ran quickly to the staircase and called down it, "I'm coming Mother!" Then she turned on her heel and darted back into her room. Dressing quickly, she summoned Dobby to her side. "Would it be too much trouble to ask you to transport my things downstairs, my dear friend Dobby?" Of course it was no trouble, since she was the only one who ever treated Dobby with any form of kindness. He magicked her things into the air and began walking with them. Just as he turned the corner, Draco darted out and lifted his foot, ready to pound it on the house elf. "Draco!" Konstantine said sadly. "Why do you do that? Be nice to him. He's carrying my things downstairs." "He never carries mine downstairs," Draco sulked as he made his way down them. "Well then, maybe you should be nicer to him." She smiled sweetly at her brother and followed him into the large dining room.
"Well, look who finally decided to wake up. It's Sleeping Beauty," her parents teased. She walked over to each and dutifully kissed them upon the cheek. Folding up the paper, her father snapped at Dobby and motioned toward the car. As she went to reach for some toast, her mother pulled it away. "I'm bringing it in the car. Now go, or you'll miss saying goodbye to Chelsea." Instantaneously Konstantine squealed and darted out of the house, leaving her mother and sibling gaping behind her. "CHELSEAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! We're going to Hogwarts!!" Konstantine ran at the speed of light, jumping up and down in place once she reached her destination. "She's coming?" Terrence asked, looking at the jumping girls. "Nah, dad's taking me," Konstantine said happily, and throwing her arms around Chelsea for one last hug, turned on her heel to make a mad dash to the car. The whole ride to Platform 9 3/4, Konstantine was nothing but jittery. She couldn't sit still long enough to attempt to eat the food her mother had brought into the car, and once they reached the station, she jumped out of the car and dashed straight toward the barrier, running through it without any hesitation. Then she stood leaning against the wall to wait for her family. "What made you run that fast? Higgs always takes his time driving," Draco spat at her. She threw an arm around him and hugged him excitedly. "Oh c'mon Draco, this is going to be fun! You, me, and Chelsea! How is that not fun?" Draco could think of a million ways in which it would not be fun for him, but he couldn't bring himself to disappoint his sister. He hugged her tightly, running his fingers through her hair and kissing her cheek. She was his little sister after all, no matter what. The highly distinct clatter of a cart was the only sound that rang through Konstantines ear as she pulled away from Draco delicately. Looking over his shoulder, she spotted Chelsea, and immediately her adrenaline rushed. She ran toward Chelsea quickly, abandoning her cart by her parents. Flinging her arms around Chelseas neck, she prodded her quickly in the back. "C'mon, or all the good seats'll be taken, and we'll have to sit with our brothers," she said, giggling all the while. Making her way back over to her cart, she kissed her parents goodbye, and loaded her things onto the Hogwarts Express.
