At a young age, you usually know exactly what it is you want to become and for this bright young lady, it was to entertain. Beebi,, 23, merged the old school R&B and new school pop to create a new exceptional sound that she made her very own. With Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston as her influences, it was obvious that Beebi was to become the next R&B sensation. Beebi, a.k.a Barbara Joseph, started performing at the age of 9. Auditioning for her school choir and band got her the experience she needed to audition for a Starfire, Soca band that later got her the lead spot. She was seen performing at various events including, local parties, Canada Day, Caribana, Tulips Festival, even school talent shows. After couple years, she teamed up with her vocal coach who later became her manager. She was immediately signed to Mystical Sounds Productions, her managers label. Beebi is currently working on a demo with Mystical Sounds Productions and RiverNile Productions that will be distributed to major record labels across the country. Beebi is very goal-oriented and what she wants today is very realistic to her eyes. A nomination for a Juno award in the next 2 years is something she truly wants and a girl as dedicated as she is will definitely realize her dreams.
