I am here for Friends

About Me

I like early 90's rap (I still have all my cassettes) and love the grunge music of my middle school days. People tell me I dance like a hippie. I love to make people laugh...but am still waiting for the moment when I make someone pee their pants. I've never liked the bad boy type, and I've never had a celebrity crush, I just don't know them well enough to like 'em. But I do have this secret affinity for super tall guys who look slightly homeless. The dirtier the better! lol. But in all seriousness I really do love people. I love talking to them, spending time, and listening to their stories. My favorite stories are the ones my grandma and great aunt tell about life. They are the best story tellers and although I've heard them a million times they still make me laugh. I also love weather, I think because I just like change. My favorite weather is when you're hiking in the mountains and it is really sunny but there is a cold wind and the sky is blue as blue can be. It makes me happy.

My Junior High and High School kids...friends...Peter of Biblical fame (do you think he has a myspace?)

Music:

Anything live. Currently in my car I've been rotating through Metallica, REM, Smashing Pumpkins, Augustana, Bob Dylan, Death Cab, Counting Crows, The Beatles, Foo Fighters, Beck, and Lisa Loeb. I've been in an old school mood lately. I have not been rotating through the country collection my road trip buddies so kindly added to our traveling music...Chelsea and Claire...boo to country but yea to you.

Movies:

Cinderella...only when I'm cleaning my room...maybe one day after I clean, I too can become a princess.

Television:

I miss cable. I miss shows like Project Runway, Top Chef, Law and Order re-runs on TNT, The Hills, Dog, the Soup, etc. But at least I finally got my rabbit ears to pick up channel 4 (only when all the lights are off in the house and my roomies aren't watching their tvs). PBS has been my viewing pleasure lately (learning makes me happy).

Books:

La Biblia dice asi.
On my recent camping road trip to Oregon/Washington I started reading "Let Your Life Speak"...sounds self-helpy I know...but it's actually just an old Quaker saying.

Heroes:

Did you ever know that you're my hero...you're everything I wish I could be.
