Charlie Giardina was born July 4th 1978 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He started playing electric bass under the influence of different styled bass players. He has been working as a session musician with many local and international artists on different studio and live endeavors, such as AUGUSTO AMICON (www.myspace.com/augustomusic), CHRISTIAN VIDAL (www.myspace.com/christianvidal), LINO GONZALEZ (myspace.com/eventualproductions), tango / pop project DEBAYRES (www.myspace.com/debayresmusic), FENA DELLA MAGGIORA, SEBASTIAN GAVA (myspace.com/sebastiangava), LAMORA (www.myspace.com/grupolamora), instrumental fusion band COMBUSTION (www.myspace.com/combustionrocks), brazilian guitarist SASHA ZAVISTANOVICZ and Buenos Aires based cover band CLAROSCURO among others, currently also working with former MAMBRU member EMANUEL NTAKA (www.myspace.com/emanuelntaka).
In April 2007, along with guitarist Christian Vidal and drummer Pablo Garrocho and under the name THE ROAD VULTURES (www.myspace.com/theroadvultures), they became the backing band for vocalist ERIC MARTIN (Mr. Big, EMB, Tak Matsumoto Group) during his first South American tour.. In September 2007, this time playing as an opening act for guitarist RICHIE KOTZEN he backed ERIC MARTIN once again through South America, also playing a 20,000 seater in Shillong, India at the end of the tour. They shared the stage with ERIC MARTIN for the third time in 2008. These days, The Road Vultures are getting ready to enter the studio and record their first album. Charlie also backed guitarist BRUCE KULICK (Kiss, Union, Black Jack) during his shows in Buenos Aires in May 2007.
Charlie also formed the band Hardway (www.myspace.com/hardwaytheband) along with his brother Eduardo Giardina. In 2004 the band settled in Runcorn, Cheshire (U.K.) for the recording of their first album under the guidance of producer PETE "Pee Wee" COLEMAN (AC/DC, Paradise Lost, Echo And The Bunnymen). Unfortunately, due to some legal difficulties inside the label Hardway's debut album was never released. the band also worked with vocalist / producer MARK SPIRO (John Waite, Bad English) on new material for their album due to be released through Angel Milk Records. Charlie is also currently producing different local artists, like PANACEA (www.myspace.com/panaceavuelve) and BRE (www.myspace.com/shhhbre). In 2009, along with musicians Javier Viñas and Emiliano Gimenez they formed the AOR / West Coast rock band Flamedown (www.myspace.com/flamedownband).
