I'd like to meet:
First and foremost, I'd love to meet Denzel Washington because I'm in love with him. Since that is a virtual impossibility, I'd settle for anyone who loves to have fun, values education, and appreciates the simple things in life. If you can hold up your end of a conversation, can construct coherent sentences, and know the difference between there, their, and they're, we just might have something to talk about.
I want to meet "Mr. Right"...someone who is smart, handsome, caring, and kind. A man who knows the definition of monogamy, and who will love me for me. A man of class, maturity, stability, and sincerity, and who possesses a kind heart and a sense of humor.
Music:
I like music of virtually all genres (with the exception of heavy metal and country). I've recently become a huge fan of my parents' music- mostly 70s stuff like Fleetwood Mac, The Doobie Brothers, and The Allman Brothers. I absolutely love the Oldies, particularly the Motown stuff like Smokey Robinson and The Temptations. Some of my other favorites include Van Morrison, UB40, Jewel, Jim Croce, James Taylor, Ice Cube, Sublime, Green Day, Fiona Apple, Bob Marley, The Doors, Sam Cooke, and CCR.
Movies:
A Christmas Story, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, Adventures in Babysitting, Alpha Dog, American Gangster, American Pie, Back to the Future II, Beaches, Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, Blood Diamond, Borat, Boyz n the Hood, Bridget Jones' Diary, Cabin Fever, Caddyshack, Castaway, Charlie Bartlett, Clerks, Clueless, Dangerous Minds, Dazed and Confused, Don't Be a Menace..., Drop Dead Gorgeous, Duplex, Fargo, Father of the Bride, Forrest Gump, Frailty, Freedom Writers, Gridiron Gang, Halloween, Happy Gilmore, Heathers, Home Alone, I Know What You Did Last Summer, Into the Blue, Invincible, Jaws, Joyride, La Bamba, Little Man, Little Miss Sunshine, Mallrats, Men in Black, Mona Lisa Smile, Monster House, Office Space, Peggy Sue Got Married, Planes, Trains, & Automobiles, Pretty in Pink, Pulp Fiction, Remember the Titans, Saving Private Ryan, Saw, Scream, Sixteen Candles, Snakes on a Plane, The 40-Year-Old Virgin, The Breakfast Club, The Buddy Holly Story, The Crush, The Holiday, The Notebook, The Pursuit of Happyness, The Stepfather, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Truman Show, The Wedding Crashers, Titanic, Toy Story, Trading Places, Training Day, Tremors, Uncle Buck, Very Bad Things, Waiting For Guffman, When Harry Met Sally, Wonderland
Television:
I love ESPN, Sportscenter, and the NFL. GO TITANS!
Mfavorite show is Dexter. I love catching reruns of the oldies but goodies like "The Wonder Years", "Dawson's Creek", "Roseanne" (the old ones, before they switched Becky's), and "Melrose Place". "America's Funniest Home Videos" is the funniest shit I've ever seen. I like using my brain cells, so "Jeopardy" is always good. My favorite guilty pleasure is "Rock of Love with Bret Michaels". Somehow, there's nothing more entertaining than watching a bunch of tattooed skanks fighting for a man's affection. Forensic shows intrigue me, so I love anything on A&E or Court TV like Forensic Files and Cold Case Files. Now, if I ever want to kill someone and dispose of their body, I think I'll be able to pull it off... [evil laugh here]...
Books:
My favorites are Milkweed by Jerry Spinelli, Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte, and The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison. I love anything by Herman Melville and Richard Wright. My favorite poet is Christina Rossetti. Oh, and I recommend that all women read He's Just Not That Into You by Greg Behrendt. It's a lifesaver!
Heroes:
Martin Luther King, Jr. because of what he stood for and all that he sacrificed to achieve it.
