Just your average guy....well, not really. I am a current Music Education student at VSU. Basically, I'm a strange mess of sorts. I'm a musician...I play violin and viola. I used to play some piano, but that's ancient history. I'm currently learning to play the oboe...We'll see how that goes. I also enjoy writing stories and lyrical analysis essays. Reading is my real passion and I'm a slave to Jane Austen's novels. I love classical literature (Austen, Voltaire, Shakespeare, Pushkin, Chaucer, Yeats, Chekhov, etc). I mostly listen to classical music, but I take a bizarre liking to European Dance music and other obscure forms of music. I have an obsession with studying and learning, which is why I make decent grades. I have problems with trusting people and you would too if you ever spent time in the VSU music department. I'm a member of the VSO and the Opera. I am also a CMENC Officer and the ASTA President, yet I still have plenty of time for my friends oddly enough. I love late night phone calls. So if you're a good friend, then expect a call...anywhere from 9pm-3am, heh!As for my goal in life, it's nothing incredible or amazingly special. I just want to settle down in a nice place and teach music. I'll eventually go to grad school for advanced degrees in Music History & Literature, along with Ethnomusicology. What can I say? I have a weak spot for Japanese sakauhachi and 12th-15th century Celtic music.In truth, I'm really nothing more but a simple musician who frequently contemplates the events that occur in life.
