Chuck Anderson is an anointed saxophonist; who by the inspiration of God can steal your heart. He’s a musician and composer, whose style can vary from jazz to gospel to the blues. He’s a soft spoken gentleman who uses the soprano, alto and tenor saxophone to communicate his feelings with an intimacy that music lovers enjoy.
Chuck's spirit-filled sax sounds can be heard almost every Sunday morning at the Christian Chapel Temple of Faith Church in Dallas, Texas. When he’s not lending his talents to his church, Chuck teaches private saxophone studies to grade school children.
He’s also known as one of the most promising composers of the new jazz era. And with a new album forthcoming, Chuck will share this great gift with the world very soon. The new album, Walk With Me is a collection of original and familiar songs with a splash of contemporary grooves.
Chuck’s past performance credits include the musicals Jesus Christ Superstar, Fatbacks and Collard Greens and the hit Broadway musical, Five Guys Named Moe. As a soloist, he’s performed at the Gospel Music Workshop of America in Los Angeles and continues to be a featured saxophonist with such talented musicians as: Claude Johnson, Roger Boykin, Robert Sanders, Freddie Jones, John Saunislos, and Bruce Mendosa. He has also accompanied renowned vocalists, C.C. Rice, Sandra Kaye, and the late Jeanette Brantley.
Chuck occasionally performs with The Journeymen and The Chuck Anderson Jazztet, but he’s now entering a new career that will fulfill his destiny as a national artist. Humility and integrity are just a few words to describe Chuck’s lifestyle, but tenacity and passion is the best way to describe what is yet to come from this gifted artist.
