Drone [dron] – noun An unchanging single note or chord that is held through a melodic part. Any of various instruments that produce a constant pitch.This is Drone: Drone is the musical habit of the collaboration between Dimitris Magglaris and Giorgos Kokkinos. The project was formed in 2001 as a result of its founding fathers love for music. “The best feeling in a party is when you drop one of your own creations and see the reaction of the crowd”. “Drone project was for us the rostrum through which we were able to communicate with other people and pass on to them our ideas and emotions”.The sound of drone is directly related to the spirit and maturity of the project’s participants. Therefore how Drone sound like reflects to the way Dimitris and Giorgos seize music. While in the early stages Drone produced trance music, their sound is nowadays a mixture of elements, harvested from various styles and filtered through the Drone perspective. The result is progressive, electric, trance, tech, housie oriented music. “It is a versatile project that constantly changes definition and in the same time defines the persons who work for it”. That is why Drone’s temper is also accommodated by a side project called “Ballroom Crashers”.Dezign music is the label that resulted from Drone’s music design. In 2006 Gio Red and DiMA collaborated with the Candyflip Label Network and Dezign Music came as an offspring. “It is simply the next step of our journey in the dance scene. A way to develop.
