Oniromancy est né en septembre 2001 de la rencontre de Mathieu (claviers) et Aurélien (guitare). Tous deux voulaient fonder un groupe de heavy lyrique depuis quelques temps déja. Ludovic, le frère d'Aurélien ne tarda pas à les rejoindre pour endosser le rôle de guitariste soliste. Après quelques mois de mise en place sur les 1ers morceaux, ils étaient toujours à la recherche d'une perle rare : la chanteuse lyrique. En janvier 2002, le destin leur a permis de croiser la route de Carole qui faisait à l'époque parti d'un autre groupe. L'entente tant au niveau humain que musical fut immédiate et elle quitta vite son groupe pour les rejoindre : le noyau d'Oniromancy était maintenant formé Il ne restait plus qu'à trouver la partie rythmique du groupe.
Après plusieurs changements de line-up, au cours desquels ont notamment succédé Manu (batteur d'UltraVomit), Geoffrey et Bertrand d'Aegirson, les relations du groupe permirent de rencontrer 2 nouveaux musiciens : Jean-Baptiste, batteur à influences jazz, et Thomas, guitariste jazz metal, qui prît la place de bassiste. Oniromancy étant enfin au complet.
Le groupe a dès lors enchaîné plusieurs concerts et fait la connaissance de plusieurs groupes qui l'ont aidé et qui forment maintenant son entourage : Hevius, Niflheim, Polaris, Nostaria, ... L'activité en 2006 s'est achevée sur l'enregistrement d'une démo 3 titres et le concert à la Maroquinerie, pour le Heavenfest.
Mi 2006, le groupe a à nouveau connu un revirement de line-up. Ce n'est qu'en ce début 2007 qu'il se re-stabilise, et qu'il va pouvoir continuer et concrétiser ses nombreux projets !
Oniromancy was born on September 2001 from the meeting of Mathieu (keyboards) and Aurélien (rythm guitar). They had both wanted to create a heavy lyric metal band for a while. Aurélien's brother, Ludovic, soon joined the band to play the lead guitar.
While the first songs were coming up, the lyric jewel was still to be found ... On January 2002, they got the chance to meet Carole. She was already singing in another band, but they easily sympathized and she immediatly enjoyed to play with them. So she left her band to join Oniromancy. The core of the band was now formed. Only The rythm section remained to be found.
After many changes in the line-up, the band's relationships allowed them to meet 2 talented musicians in the end of 2004 : Jean-Baptiste, jazz metal drummer, and Thomas, jazz metal bassist. Oniromancy was finally complete ! From then, the band performed several shows and met other Paris' bands like Hevius, Nifhleim, Polaris, Nostaria... which are now friends of them. The 2006 activity ended on the recording of a demo cd and the show at "La Maroquinerie", for the Heavenfest.
In the middle of year 2006, the band had to face the departure of 3 of them. That's only in this beginning of year 2007 that the band has got complete again. And they're now ready to go on and to concretize all their many projects !
