Sounds Like: Many times when working with producers in the past, they claimed to "get it" the sound/intention/personality/vibe, that is. It was "our project" and they were there only to enhance it. Once the $ changed hands (the deposit was given) however, the honeymoon was over! The guitar lick that our band loved never made it onto the mix, the backup harmony was replaced by the producer's wife, and so on and so on.What I do is similar to that of a prospector: I dig through all your parts and point out what nuggets of gold I spotted. But you're the one in the studio who decides if I'm right or not, and what goes on the record...All songs on this site started with the artist's voice and generally, an acoustic guitar. I played, with permission and consultation, the rest.
