Popartiste (Jayne Tunnicliffe)is probably best known for her role in UK soap opera Coronation Street, where she played Yana Lumb, best friend of Cilla Battersby Brown. She has also appeared in Phoenix Nights, That Peter Kay Thing, Clocking Off, and Lily Live with Paul O'Grady as Lily Savage. She started her career as a stand up comedienne, Mary Unfaithful - a brassy blonde sixties rock chick character who played the ukulele.Alongside acting and comedy, she is an artist. Her most well known collection of paintings was inspired by Roy Lichtenstein, featuring favourite characters, memorable scenes and funny lines from the history of Coronation Street.The twenty paintings called 'CORRIECATURES' can be viewed on her official website at Click Here! Her new collection is based on the AMC TV series 'Mad Men' and will hopefully be exhibited in New York later in the year.
