I grew up in Orillia ON and moved to Toronto in 1999 to study music at Humber college. I play the trumpet and drums mostly with a pinch of guitar. While at Humber I earned a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance for trumpet. As far as drums go I play mostly rock. I started playin both instruments around age 12 and played in rock bands throughout high school and get together with the boys every few months to do bar gigs for fun...it rocks!! I currently have 3 projects on the go in the Toronto area. I play in a live house/funk band called King Sunshine(tpt), The Dirty Little Swing Thing (rock dance party band, drums, vox), and also the Composers Collective Big Band led by Christian Overton. Other than those projects I do a bunch of free lance work around the city, playin with different bands and artists, or whatever comes up i guess. I have experience doing radio and TV shows, soundtrack recordings, musicals, cruise ship show band as well as live clubs and weddings etc. During the summer I paint parking lots as well, getting the winters off to relax and practice etc.Studied with - Steve Crowe, Brian Okane, Al Kay, John McleodCredits - Lead Tpt 2003 Massey Hall All-stars, opening for Herbie Hancock Quintet.
