Nancy Cox and Jimmy Borum met on a hot summer night in August 2004 and began to build a bond that would turn into an amazing relationship. Jimmy’s experience with singing and his ear for music prompted him to begin working with Nancy’s vocals. Out & About was formed! They have performed with the Heartland Opry as well as the Oklahoma State Fair, Mustang Western Days, benefits and fundraisers. Over the last several years they have won numerous awards, both individually and as a duet. In 2007 they won State Competition with the Country Music Singer’s Association and represented Oklahoma in the New Country Duo category in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee at the North American Country Music Association International Competition where they won 2008 Most Promising Duo, New Country!!! This year they won 2008's Duo of the Year at state competition in Traditional country and won NACMAI's 2009 Most Promising Duo, Traditional Country in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee !!!! Out & About is continuing to gain experience and attention and are quickly becoming local favorites!
