I was born & brought up in Scotland, apart from a brief stay in Manchester & Liverpool (with my grandmother, who lived in Penny Lane!). I've lived in & around Edinburgh for most of my life, apart from a year in Europe. I've written, recorded & performed music for around 20 years, starting with punk then rockabilly/psychobilly combo, the (in)famous Sharlot & The Rogues.
My first taste of 'fame' was winning a radio 1 competition & soaking Mark Goodier with a water pistol at the Leicester Square Empire. I played with various members of Edinburgh band The Thanes in a band called The Offhooks then The Unhinged, The Crypt Kicker Five, The J. Edgar Hoovers, Henry & The Hymen, The Feral Prophets & a bit later Tigermoth.
In 2005 I co-wrote & recorded a couple of songs on Dawn of the Replicants album 'Fangs'.
I'm currently working with Roger Simian in The Stark Palace,our latest song has been played several times on B.B.C. 6,and we did a live session with Tom Robinson on the 3rd March.Recently voted 3rd best band on MySpace too! You can check out the review at Supersweet .org.
I've also written a song with Paul Vickers of The Replicants, the Car Horns of Rio, which is on the current album by Paul Vickers & The Leg, on S.L. records.
I've recorded & done some gigs with Mike Small & Brendan McAndrew of the Stone Ghost Collective over the past few years, their latest E.P. has been getting airplay on Radio 1 & Radio Scotland,courtesy of Vic Galloway.
