Nordic is a band that is based on an urge for experimentation.
With great knowledge about Swedish folkmusic there is freedom and urge to use
tradition on new ways.
The music is characterized by an open and responsive relationship between the members.
The combination of instruments is unique but the sound is still remarkably obvious.
The result is a musical web of cinematic compositions filled with harmonies, rythms,
groove and improvisation.
The ensemble met the autumn of 2004 on the royal academic school of music (KMH)
in Stockholm. Since then the band has also worked with artists from alternative circus
and, through this, made international ground.
