He wants you to come home safe in hes arms! I know that the church of Jesus Christ of later-day saints is the true church! I am so thankful that I have the church in my life! With out it, I'm not sure who I would be. The church is my foundation. With it I am strong, I'm sure with out it in my life I would fall and be week. I know that we have living prophets today, and with that we have many miracles in the world today. We are truly blessed to live in this day and age. I know that my heavenly father lives, and is with me every day, every minute. If I need him all I have to do is tell him and even when I don't ask for help he has already helped me! I am so grateful for all the miracles and blessings my heavenly father has given me! Some I wasent grateful for at the time, but on down the road Iv looked back and realized all my blessings in disguise! I am thankful that I know the truth, and I know with out a question of doubt that their is a God! And that Jesus did die for our sins! (Thank goodness) I know I needed his help. And that the holy ghost is with us! I love the temple! And am grateful that we have the power on earth do do our heavenly fathers work, and that we can be sealed to our families for all time and eternity! I am grateful for the priesthood and all the blessings I receive from my heavenly father through it. I love my heavenly father. And I'm trying to do better to make him happy. Because I know my weaknesses and I hate disappointing him, look at all he has done for me. FROM ONE OF MY FRIENDSWhy I Believe The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day SaintsMy name is Michael Flournoy and I was raised in the Mormon belief system. Although my parents were members of the LDS (Latter-day Saint) church, I did not know what I was taught there to be the truth. At the age of 16 I attended EFY, a week-long religious program for LDS youth. It was there that I had the most marvelous experience of my life. The actual event is far too sacred for me to go into lightly, but in short the Lord Jesus Christ revealed himself to me. The power of his Spirit filled my body and in that moment I knew I had a savior who cared more for me than I could imagine. I was born again.After this I knew Jesus was the Christ. I had already been taught this in Church, but now I knew in my heart. My church's doctrinal standing in relation to Christ was in direct alignment with what I learned at EFY. There was no doubt in my mind that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was at least Christian. The Spirit I felt that one night did not diminish or falter simply because I attended that church.I went on a mission to Anaheim California for the Church for two years. While I was there I met a number of Christians opposed to Mormonism who challenged my faith to its very foundations. Like me they also believed in Christ, and so I went to study the Bible. To my astonishment everywhere I looked the Bible held answers to the doubts placed in my mind. In no time at all I realized the LDS church held completely true to the Bible! My mission was a wonderful time for me to grow in the gospel and learn about the nature of God and his true church on the earth.There are many reasons I now believe the Church to be true. It testifies of Christ. I have read The Book of Mormon and received spiritual witnesses to my heart that it is indeed the word of God. I have seen miracles and heard the apostles speak. I have used the priesthood and know that by it anything can be done. I could never deny what I have actually seen and heard and felt. What I say next, I do not say to brag in any way. I know I have nothing to brag about because it is grace that will save me. But I have found the truth, and it was under my nose my whole life. I know The Book of Mormon is true just as I know Joseph Smith was a prophet. And I know these things the same way I know Jesus is the Christ. The Spirit has spoken it.Amen.
