Darkness Inside is a melodic death metal band came up from Nicosia/Cyprus.
The band started when Paul (lead el. guitar) and Chris (el. guitar, vocals) decided to start writing their own material instead of just covering songs by their favourite bands, influenced by thrash and heavy metal.
They started recording their first album "The Century of Darkness" in summer 2006, with Christ recording vocals and drums and Paul being the lead & rhythm guitarist and bassist.
However, by October 2006, they decided they wanted to play live too, and Yiannis joined as Darkness Inside's drummer and later in December Marios as the band's bassist. The first live show was their appearance at Bands Fest in 2007.

By the end of summer 2007, Darkness Inside decided to shift from heavy/thrash metal to melodic death. After the gig at Bikini Bar, Darkness Inside and Yiannis decided to part ways. Darkness Inside's new drummer was Frikshow, who was the lead vocalist of Omnium. With his excellent drumming skills, he became DI's war machine. Not long after that, Panayiotis, previously Omnium's lead guitarist, joined as the rhythm guitarist. Many more live shows came, covering Death, In Flames and Arch Enemy and performing their own songs.
When the band had all 5 members, they wanted to record a full album but due to difficulties they decided to record a demo.
First Darkness Inside's demo EP released date was 05/9/2008, and ready to be sold the same night at a concert/festival called "Together we Stand", where Darkness Inside took part too. Their Demo EP is entitled "The Century of Darkness". The Demo contains four single tracks, (1) Anarchy Gods, (2)Darkness Inside, (3) Fear of Death and (4) Only you.

Darkness Inside's band since their last live show on 04/1/2009 at Club RED are inactive. The reasons are too many, due to army reasons of Chris Chacholiades, and the studies of the other members in different countries over the world, make the band to be inactive. Paul, Panayotis and Marios create their own band called Carnage (www.myspace.com/carnagecy), Chris is now the lead Vocalist of the band Inferno (www.inferno-band.com, www.myspace.com/infernocy), and Frixos is the drummer of a Greek Rock band called Pixides (www.myspace.com/pixidesband). We believe that the band will find themselfs to start over again.
