Comedies, mysteries, sci-fi, and fantasy, mainly.
I don't really watch much TV these days, oddly enough.
Anything by Orson Scott Card or Isaac Asimov. Robert Jordan is another favorite of mine. In addition, I read work by Charles Sheffield, Jerry Pournelle, and J. Gregory Keyes, as well as books by other authors who write similarly.
